1.US strikes Islamic State targets in Iraq for second time

US forces launched a second wave of air strikes against Islamic extremists near Arbil in northern Iraq on Friday, destroying a militant convoy and killing a mortar team, the Pentagon said.

Shortly after 1400 GMT, US drones destroyed a mortar position and killed a group of militants. Just over an hour later four F/A-18 jets hit a seven-vehicle Islamic State convoy with eight laser-guided bombs.

2. Earnings dilution: Sebi fines Reliance Rs. 13 crore

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Friday slapped a penalty of Rs. 13 crore on Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) for repeated non-disclosure of a key earnings ratio for six quarters. The regulator has said that the information would have had a significant impact on investors’ decision to buy or sell shares.
The penalty includes a Rs. 1-crore fine for violation of listing agreement and another Rs. 12 crore for violation of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act in relation to non-disclosure of the diluted earnings per share in the quarterly and annual disclosures.

3. Uninor may launch 4G this year, spark tariff war
Uninor, which offers telecom services in just seven of the 23 circles in India, could push operators such as Airtel and Aircel into a 4G tariff war ahead of the much-awaited Reliance Jio roll out next year.

“We will soon start our testing for 4G services and offer it commercially where there is demand,” Morten Karlsen Sorby, CEO Uninor .
At present, 4G services are priced on par with 3G in the few circles where they are available. Uninor is in discussions with original equipment manufacturers for testing 4G speed and connectivity, and is likely to launch services this year, though a time frame has not been decided.

4.Labour ministry appoints Tata Sons as knowledge partner
Under the partnership, Tata Sons will also play a strong advocacy role in actively promoting women's participation in the labour force.
