RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan stresses the need for (1) growth in the country while keeping the (2) rate low. “ (3) has to be obtained in the (4) way. It is possible to grow too fast with substantial stimulus, as we did in 2010 and 2011, only to pay the price in higher inflation, higher deficits, and lower growth in 2013 and 2014, “said Dr.Rajan. However, he said that „India is not in the same situation today. “With the world being an inhospitable place, said Dr. Rajan, “we have to work hard to strengthen our current recovery and put it on a more sustainable footing. “For the RBI, however, he said that a key (5) is to keep inflation low so that “we get moderate nominal interest rates that satisfy not just the (6) borrowers but also the silent savers.” The RBI Governor also stressed the need to (7) up the banking system of distressed assets so that it is in a position to fund growth again.   Chinese goods are flying high not just in Indian markets but, apparently, in the skies as well, with youngsters taking a fancy to them. A look at retail outlets and inquiries with kite-dealers indicate a ( 11 ) demand for these kites. In view of the unorganized nature of the market, exact numbers are tough to get. But various dealers put the quantum of China kite sales at around 10 per cent of the market, especially in the urban areas. The variety of ( 12 ) in Chinese kites is a hit with customers. Even though the price is on the higher side, at Rs.150-200, it has not become a ( 13 ) factor in sales of imported kites. The kites are brought to Delhi and Mumbai and reach other markets through dealers.
India fighter kites, on the other hand, are mostly ( 14 ) between Rs.25 and Rs.150. A few come for as low as Rs 5. Indian kites are mostly square-shaped while Chinese kites are ( 15 ). The foreign kites are also high on ( 16 ) and available in the shape of eagles, dragons and so on.
( 17 ) the paper-made Indian kites is easy. They are made of nylon and have a stronger manja ( thread ), which also uses nylon. The ( 18 ) experience, too, is different. Directions (21-30): In the given passage there are blanks, each of which has been numbered. Against each, five words are suggested, one of which fits the blank appropriately. Find the appropriate word in each case.

Confidence in the global economy is (21) improving, as evidenced by the bullish behavior of financial markets and by increasingly positive comments from companies and policy markers over the past few weeks.
While economists have generally argued in (22) of a robust recovery, both in the world economy and in financial markets, it is when investors get (23) bullish that the pessimistic case deserves more (24). Many of them believe that the current improvement in global conditions is just a blip and that the world faces years, if not decades, of “secular stagnation”. How (25) should we take these foreboding statements?
The good news is that there is not much (26) of secular stagnation in global statistics. For the world economy as a whole, “new normal” since 2008 has not, in fact, been very (27) from the pre-crisis period. The average growth of the global economy, from 1988 to 2007, was 3.6 per cent according to the IMF’s Economic Outlook database. Its latest forecast for this year is the same-3.6 per cent-although the IMF Managing Director hinted at a modest (28) this week.
At first sight, this continuity from the pre-crisis decades seems. (29) to square with the slowdown in economic activity in all major economies since 2008. The IMF expects only 2.2 per cent growth this year in developed countries compared with an average of 2.8 per cent during the two decades before the crisis. In the emerging economies, meanwhile, growth is (30) at 4.8 per cent this year, slightly below the 4.9 per cent of the pre-crisis decades.
