Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

Candidates must be:

  1. A citizen of India, or
  2. A subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or
  3. A refugee from Tibet (before January 1, 1962), or
  4. A person of Indian origin who migrated from certain countries with the intent to settle in India.

Educational Qualification:

  • A graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Proficiency in the regional language is mandatory.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years (as of December 1, 2024)
  • Age relaxations are applicable for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, and other categories as per government rules.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The recruitment process consists of two stages: Preliminary Exam (Tier I) and Main Exam (Tier II).

Preliminary Exam Pattern:

  • English Language: 30 questions (30 marks)
  • Reasoning Ability: 35 questions (35 marks)
  • Numerical Ability: 35 questions (35 marks)
  • Duration: 60 minutes

Main Exam Pattern:

  • English Language: 40 questions (50 marks)
  • Reasoning: 40 questions (50 marks)
  • Numerical Ability: 40 questions (50 marks)
  • General Awareness: 40 questions (50 marks)
  • Computer Knowledge: 40 questions (50 marks)
  • Duration: 120 minutes

Key Notes:

  • Penalty for wrong answers: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • A Regional Language Test will follow for qualifying candidates.

Regional Language Test Details

Candidates who qualify the Main Examination will be required to appear for a Regional Language Test specific to the state or union territory for which they have applied. This test evaluates proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the regional language.

  • The Regional Language Test is qualifying in nature and does not contribute to the final merit list.
