Exam Centre Changed for Some Candidates

SBI has informed a limited number of candidates that their exam centre has been revised due to administrative reasons. If you are affected:

  • Keep checking your registered email ID regularly for official communication.
  • Report to the revised centre mentioned in SBI’s intimation, not the one printed on the original call letter.
  • Continue carrying the same admit card, unless a revised one is issued.
  • Reach the new venue 30–45 minutes before the reporting time.
  • Raise a query with SBI only if there’s a discrepancy in the revised centre details.

Candidates who have not received any such communication should simply report to the centre printed on their admit card.

Online Exam: How It Actually Works

Based on SBI’s official Acquaint Yourself Booklet, here’s what happens once you log in:

  1. You’ll log in with the User ID and Password printed on the call letter.
  2. Your profile (name, roll number, photo) is displayed — confirm it by clicking “I confirm.”
  3. Read the on-screen instructions, tick the checkbox, and click “I am ready to begin” to start the timed test.
  4. Answer by mouse-clicking an option, then click SAVE & NEXT — unclicked answers are not saved.
  5. Only saved answers, or answers marked for review after answering, count for evaluation.
  6. Use CLEAR RESPONSE to deselect an answer if you change your mind.
  7. Each section runs on its own separate timer — you can only navigate between questions within that section’s allotted time.
  8. Never press any keyboard key during the exam — doing so will lock your test.
  9. The exam auto-submits when the timer hits zero, and answers are saved automatically even if you don’t click Submit.
  10. You cannot “finally submit” early — the full test duration must be exhausted first.

The Question Palette on the screen uses colour-coded status markers (not visited, not answered, answered, marked for review, answered & marked for review) so you always know where you stand.

Exam Day Conduct Rules

  • Follow every instruction from test administrators and invigilators — violations can lead to disqualification or removal from the hall.
  • Do not leave your seat unless permitted.
  • Submit your rough sheets before leaving; retaining or passing on any exam material is treated as misconduct.
  • Copying, impersonation, misbehaviour, or sharing test content in any form can lead to disqualification and permanent debarment from future SBI exams, besides possible criminal action under The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
  • SBI cross-checks response patterns across candidates to detect similarity/cheating; scores found invalid can be cancelled even after the exam.
  • No travelling allowance is paid, and candidates appear at their own risk.

What If You Can’t Download the Admit Card?

  • Recheck your Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth for typos.
  • Ensure a stable internet connection.
  • Clear your browser cache or switch browsers.
  • Try downloading during non-peak hours if the site is slow.
  • Reach out to SBI’s helpdesk if the problem continues.
